ニューヨークのクイーンズにある有名なスケートスポット。 大きな地球儀が特徴で90年代のスケートビデオにもよく登場している。 当時住んでいたクイーンズの69stから7番線に乗って真夏の炎天下の中描きに行ったのを覚えてい る。 どのスポットもそうなのだが、映像ではそこしか写っていないけれど、そこにたどり着くまでの 道程もとても魅力である。 何日か通って制作しているとブライアンアンダーソンが撮影していた。 こちらに近付いて来て絵を覗き込むと、とても感動してくれた。 何かあげたいのだけどと言ってポケットをまさぐるも何もなかったらしく、 おもむろに着ていたTシャツを脱いで手渡してくれた。 そのTシャツのグラフィックはクイーンズ出身のラッパーNASのIllmaticだった。

This famous skate spot is located in Queens, New York. It appears on lots of 90s skate videos and it is famous for having a big globe statue. It was in the middle of Summer when I travelled to this skate spot. I remember getting on Line 7 at 69 Street where I used to live in Queens. Each time I visit skate spots that I have only seen in videos, I always find the journey there really charming. I had been going to this skate spot to draw and one day I saw Brian Anderson filming his part. He came up to me and looked at my drawing and it seemed like he was impressed. He told me he wanted to give me something and, finding nothing in his pockets, he suddenly started taking off his t-shirt and gave it to me. The T-Shirt had Queens born rapper NASʼs Illmatic album cover emblazoned on it.
