I took pictures over the last year and a half as a way of remembering
what this time was like and also for holding up a mirror to myself- I suspect the photos reflect my preoccupations during this strangetime (which is not over yet!). Often we're not aware of our feelings and concerns, but using photos as a self reflective tool I can see parts of me I didn't recognize.
Last year when the weather was nice I often organized bike trips with
friends...it was a safe way to be together outdoors and to explore
New York. This city has so many neighborhoods, each with their own
characteristics. There are always surprises. Despite the isolation this
activity kept me sane- and I discovered other sides of the city I live in
