私にはカラスが人の姿に見えるのです。

To me, crows are like people.

カラスへのイメージは様々だと思いますが、マイナスのイメージも、プラスのイメージもあるカラスはまるで人間の誰かのようだと思うのです。

I know crows have a lot of different images, but I think crows are, with both their positive and negative images, like people.

私はカラスという存在に様々な意味を持たせます。

I give a lot of meanings to crows.

痛みや寂しさや孤独。強さや憧れや愛情。男性性や女性性について。

Pain, loneliness, solitude. Strength, longing, and love. Masculinity and femininity.

カラスは私自身の姿です。

Crows are figures of myself.

カラスは他の誰かの姿でもあります。

Crows are also the figures of others.

心の混乱から世界に白以外の色がなくなったとき、視力を失い何も見えなくなったことへの恐怖が私を襲いました。そのとき、私は自分がカラスになったのだと知りました。カラスになった私を私は受け入れることができなかった。けれど、私を救ったのはカラスでした。

When there was no color in the world but white, because of the confusion in my mind, I was stricken with the fear of losing my sight and never seeing again. I knew that I had become a crow. I couldn’t accept that I had become a crow. But, it was the crows that saved me.

この作品は、私の恐怖と希望です。

This work is my fears and my hopes.
